If you just glance at my Favorites folder you will get a huge hint as to my love for Harry Potter. I have found some of the most beautiful, hilarious, romantic, awesome and cool as hell fanart here on deviantArt. I am literally blown away by the creativity and talent that this fandom has. harry Potter has the nicest and coolest fans ever! I wanted to share with you some of my favorites. I have a new facebook page for my artwork and projects that I'm working on. I wanted one separate from my personal facebook page for those who want to "like" what I do. See what i did there? Nice.

So if you have a facebook profile and you want to visit my page please click the like button to receive updates from me. I also have a note on my pricing for commissions. Just click on notes on the left side of the page. I update that page way more than I update these DA journal entries so if you're interested it is up and ready!
Also I am getting closer to reopening my etsy shop, EmiBelle Designs, with new items! AND I am almost ready to launch my new website theartofjes.com. Everything that goes into designing a website takes so much time and so much clicking and typing...oy! But it will be coming soon and it will be awesome!
Another thing I'm working on is a new drawing of my son, Ethan. I have Emily all over my gallery, but this will be the first thing I do with him. he's younger and never stays still long enough to take a picture, but I found a good one and decided to draw it. So that is also coming up.

I a happy to say that I am currently working on a new drawing! I'm also happy to say that it is not a celebrity. I am doing my first drawing of my daughter, Emily! I am almost finished so I will be uploading soon.
That's not to say I won't do any more celebrities. I'll always go back to that. There are thousands of high quality, beautiful photographs out there to choose from and I will not be able to resist drawing them. Especially now that Harry Potter is coming to an end (sigh...i need a moment..ok) I plan on drawing them next starting with Emma and Rupert then Dan.
I also want to learn to illustrate. As in making my own characters or drawing character that exist, but the way I see them. It will be fun to study the body and facial expressions. I mostly just draw what I see so going back to basic human anatomy will be a great and fun challenge for me!

4 Years After The Last Entry

Wow it has been a looong time since I wrote a journal and even longer since I've actually drawn anything! I've been visiting the site over the years and faved a bunch of awesome art. I swear this site gets better everytime I come back.
So in the past 4 years I had another child, a son named Ethan :)My daughter, Emily is now 5 and Ethan is 2. Time does fly, as cliche as that sounds, but it's a very true sentiment.
Well I have to say there is so much inspiration here, along with my new found personal freedom that I decided to ease my way back into the art world.I caved and paid for a year's membership! I plan on drawing and submitting my butt off. Maybe even submit some for print. I didn't realize the ones I have on here already are too small to be available for print which sucks because I lost most of those files about 3 computers ago (they keep crashing on me!) Also the original drawings aren't in the best shape :(
I plan to make up for that with  brand new drawings. I may even venture out of the celebrity genre and take a stab at some more still life, nature and random, more original objects and...stuff.
So I just wanted to update my profile in case anyone is wondering what the heck happened to me. There are so many new features and things to try out!
Oh! And may I just say how surprised I am every time I log in to find people are still faving my art and writing comments! it makes me feel so happy to read them and see that I still have a place here. Please know that even if I don't reply I read and appreciate each and every click you make for me. I promise to mkae more of an effort to respond. Thank you so so much!

A Year Later

Thanks so much to everyone who has visited and appreciated my art! I can't believe I still get them after so long! :)

I have done a few more drawings for a local art gallery. Nothing sold, but it was a good experience.
A soon as I get my scanner hooked up I will upload my most recent drawings and see what you guys think.
I'm working on some commissions coming up and a few projects...more to come!

It was the amazing talent on this website that inspired me to draw again. I'm hoping to get back into the community and create more art...and try new things. Maybe paint or illustrations perhaps? We'll see.
Thanks again to everyone for still liking me and for producing such great art on this website.

My daughter is 1 today! (It's after midnight on the 19th lol) So that's exciting!
